Eureka Communications was founded in 1995 by Maris Stella Fernández, journalist, lawyer and pioneer of public relations in Costa Rica. In 1998, Jorge Cornick, Ph.D. in Economy with extensive experience in tax matters and public policy, joined the company.

Throughout 14 years, the company has accumulated an extraordinary varied experience, both in terms of the portfolio of clients who we have served as much as in terms of the broad spectrum of services provided.

Thus, Eureka has worked with clients so varied as INCAE, the National Stock Exchange, Corman, the Improsa Financial Group, the mega tourism project Cacique Costa Rica, Pacific Plaza real estate development; public entities such as the Central Bank, Ministry of Finance, and the Presidency; and nonprofit organizations such as the Association Friends of Learning.

A separate mention must be made for the outstanding participation of Eureka in the campaigns for the approval of the Free Trade Agreement with the United States in the first referendum in Costa Rica´s history, and, subsequently to promote the approval of the implementation agenda in this commercial agreement.

In regards to services offered, Eureka has been emerging as a company specializing in strategic consulting, maintaining as well a fairly wide spectrum of services (press management, graphic design, events organization, media purchase, advertising campaigns, etc.).

Strategic advice includes both the development of Communication Strategies, and the preparation and implementation of Annual Operational Plans for strategic implementation. In both cases, Eureka has developed standardized formats and methodologies, with very positive results continuously shown.
